ABOUT THE CHEF

A little behind the scenes of Puerto Rican Delight. Ever since elementary school I loved pastry arts as a whole. From a young age I had the creative aspect to look at certain ingredients and make something unique out of them. I went on to participate in a Culinary Arts program throughout middle and high school. Before even graduating I knew Culinary was not my forte, so I moved courses to the Pastry Arts Program. I then went on to further my career by majoring in Baking and Pastry Arts out at the York Technical Institute in Lancaster. From there I went out to Bedford Pennsylvania to the Omni Bedford Springs resort and spa where I worked at a pastry cook, until I took on a production/line cook role. I did enjoy my time out there, but unfortunately for me, my time at Omni came to an end when I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. I instantly knew I wanted to be surrounded by good vibes and family. So I moved back home , where I took on a Pastry chef assistant/ manager role. I am now currently working as a Pastry Chef as well as running my own bakery. I hope that one day I can turn my in home bakery to a store front bakery. It's not easy being a young mom trying to work. However, it does not matter to me that I became a mom at 20 or 35, I would do this all over again for that little girl. I have a goal that my little one will see nothing is too small to conquer. No dream is to small, dumb or big to real. If you put your mind to it, you can do anything.

So, thank you to all of you for making my dream possible. I appreciate all the support and wish you all a sweet day!
